Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021, as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers everything from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies as well as space tourism. Being the child of 2 NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. The reporter also reported on the 2020 presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations to fight the coronavirus. The extensive trips she took with the Vice President and the President included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took together with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
